House and Senate negotiators released the compromise version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) last week, stripping out a ban on the Defense Department’s (DoD) abortion policy and a prohibition on Pentagon funding for gender-affirming care, along with other contentious provisions.
The Senate voted on it and passed it to the House, where it passed. One more promise made, promise broken. It is time to replace the Uniparty hacks we elect to Congress. All our Arkansas Congressmen voted for it, as did both Senators.
There is a lot to like in the NDAA, including pay raises for our service personnel, as well as increased housing allowances for married soldiers.
What’s not to like is outlined in our lead paragraph. The DoD will pay for travel to a place where abortions are legal, pay for housing while there, and pay for the procedure if a member of the military becomes pregnant and desires an abortion. How is the Defense Department in any way authorized to spend money on travel, housing, and the procedure when the procedure we’re talking about will result in the taking of a human life? Are soldiers actually authorized to have abortions? Is that an allowed activity for service personnel?
Whatever happened to obeying the Uniformed Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) which was modified to contain “Fetal Rights” in 2004?
According to the Defense News dated 4/19/2007, “President George W. Bush issued an executive order amending the manual for the Uniform Code of Military Justice to include, among other things, separate legal status for a fetus.
The changes to the manual reflect changes to U.S. law made by Congress in 2004, when it passed and Bush signed the "Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004."
Anyone subject to the UCMJ who "causes the death of, or bodily injury ... to a child who is in utero ... is guilty of a separate offense" as if the injury or death occurred to the "unborn child's mother," the manual states.
And it’s not just abortions, but gender-affirming care as well. If GI Joe wants to become GI Jane it’s all right with the DoD. Are we living in an alternate reality? The armed forced used to be the most conservative part of our government, now it seems you can have an abortion, change gender, think and act like you’re a dog, and it’s okay. Horse hockey!
A service member wants to kill her baby – it will have to be a “her” as we believe the science that says so – but she’s stationed in a state that does not allow abortion. DoD says no problem, pick a state, any state, and you can go and kill your kid on us. What they mean by us is you and me -- and this is what our Senators and Congressmen voted for?
We could never vote for these things, yet we have by voting for Cotton, Boozman, Crawford, Hill, Westerman, and Womack. There’s not enough testosterone among the six of them to make one man.
We elect these hacks to go to Washington and vote the center-right that reflects Arkansas, and instead they reflect the Uniparty that they actually bend the knee to. I want to hear one of them claim to be conservative, pro-life, and God-fearing after voting liberal, child killing, and not fearing God at all. It’s unfortunate that all six are not up for re-election in 2004, but the Congressmen are. We’re interested to hear how they justify government support and provision of abortions and gender-affirming care. We’re sure a majority of Arkansans don’t support these things, and we wonder how people we elect to represent our opinions in Washington can vote this way.
You can do whatever you wish about these fakers, but we will not vote for any of them. It’s absolutely foolish to espouse conservative ideas and then vote for a Uniparty candidate who hasn’t the principles or conscience to vote his constituents’ wishes.
We’re singling out these four because we live in Arkansas, but given the vote to pass the NDAA was 329/101 with 62 Republicans voting against the bill and 149 voting for it, it seems 2/3 of the Republicans in Congress have gone to the dark side.
We believe that abortion is murder, and by voting to allow the DoD to pay for and allow murder, we believe the four Arkansas Congressmen are also allowing, approving, and supporting the murder of unborn children.
We also believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God, and in Genesis 5:2 it says “Male and female created he them; and blessed them.…” There is no mention of other genders, or that the gender you’re born with is possibly incorrect, so we reject “gender-affirming” as just more crap, and voting for it does not recommend you as a deep thinker.
We pray these six elected officials will at least grow a pair they can share, but they probably won’t.
